Watching Jason perform in his bands Weedeater (NOLA) and ‘Phantom Power’ late last century, I resonated and learned from his methodical contrasting of dark, abrasive sounds with those of more joyful, energetic feeling. I heard ‘total resolution’ to an insanely creative vision in his playing. Jason has a graceful disposition with heavier guitar forms which to witness has been highly formative for me.
