INFINIFATHOM
“The infinity mirror experience never gets old.”
–Visitor
While the mirrors create only the illusion of infinity, the lived experience of this environment—animated by dynamic lighting that introduces ever-shifting lines of sight—continually reinvents the space. This evolving spectacle becomes more than visual; it sustains a bridge to the deeper mind, which earnestly reaches for, and wrestles with, the concept of infinity.
The experience unfolds across three interconnected chambers, separated by two-way mirrors. As lighting transitions between spaces—bright in one chamber, dim in another—the mirrored surfaces alternate between reflection and transmission. At times, you may see into an adjacent chamber; at others, you’re met with multiplied images of yourself. A video wall behind one mirror injects hypnotic visual media, while interwoven, multiphonic music and sound both lead and follow the rhythm of the lighting.
This oscillation between inward reflection and outward transparency draws participants into a playful dialogue with their sense of orientation. This dialogue may further extend into an exercise in self-perception, and in finding our place within the infinite universe.
